At the heart of these ReCAP cross compression equipment systems is our XR technology, which safely controls the transfer rate of methane captured from isolated pipeline sections to adjacent pressurized systems.
The state-of-the-art XR technology allows for the efficient and predictable recovery and transfer of natural gas into the live pipeline through cross compression at a constant rate, no matter the pressure differential, from 1440 PSIG and down, as the pressure levels drop. That speeds up the cross compression process without compromising recovery rates.
The ReCAP® cross compression system is designed with adaptability in mind to handle a wide range of applications—from low-volume, high-frequency pigging operations to high-volume, low-frequency transmission pipeline maintenance projects. The system is designed to reduce emissions by up to 99.99% in some cases when compared to venting or flaring.
