WeldFit Enhances ReCAP™ Equipment Portfolio, Adds Higher Horsepower XR900 Units to Service Fleet

Expanding upon WeldFit’s XR300 fleet of units, each XR900 unit boasts 1.5 times more compression HP and 3 times more gas throughput.
Designed and developed to maintain the same Straight-LineTM gas recompression schedule predictability the XR300 in known for on small- to mid-size projects, the XR900 is well suited to make quick work of mid- to large-size gathering and transmission pipeline depressurization projects.
Each XR900 is rated for pressures up to 1440 psig and packaged with 228 HP of compression capable of transferring more than 900 SCFM, or 1.35 MMSCFD, of natural gas.
This gas flow rate means one XR900 can depressurize an isolated 1-mile stretch of 16” pipeline from 900 psig to 5 psig in a little less than 10 hours. If getting down to 0 psig is desired, pairing an XR300 with an XR900 would accomplish that objective in even less time.
And just as important as ensuring project schedules are maintained, the ReCAP® XR900 reduces emissions in excess of 99.97% when compared to venting or flaring.
