WeldFit Introduces Emissions Capture Technology for Natural Gas Pipelines

To help natural gas pipeline operators meet their ESG goals safely and easily, pipeline productivity solutions provider WeldFit has introduced the ReCAP® Emissions Recovery System.
The patent-pending ReCAP technology enables operators to eliminate voluntary emissions from pipelines that have to be depressurized for pigging or other purposes.
Instead of venting or flaring gas, in just three, simple steps, the system depressurizes and removes it from an isolated pigging system for discharge into the adjacent system. The emissions-free pigging system can then be safely accessed.
It can be used with pipeline pressures up to 1440 psi (99.28 bar).
The ReCAP Emissions Recovery System takes aim at one of the most significant challenges the pipeline industry faces today: reducing the release of harmful methane emissions into the air. The industry intends to reduce voluntary methane emissions across the natural gas value chain to 1% of less by 2025, and innovative technology is key to achieving that goal.
